The Safari browser is part of Apple’s mobile and desktop operating systems. It is convenient, functional and well optimized. Due to these features, the owners of “Apple” devices do not replace it and use it as the main one. Our experts tell you how to view your browsing history in different versions of Safari browser.
There are several ways to access your browser history on your computer. The top menu bar and keyboard shortcuts are always available to the user. If desired, a quick access button is displayed on the toolbar.
When the Safari window is active, sections of the control menu are displayed in the top row to the right of the Apple logo. Click on the “History” item. The expanded list shows the sites visited by the user during the current day. Below, in a collapsed state, are records for previous sessions, grouped by date.
Right-clicking on the browser toolbar brings up the menu shown in the screenshot. We pick up the framed button in it and move it to a convenient place. We finish the configuration by clicking “Done”.
The history opens on top of the active tab after clicking on the button displayed on the panel. All entries are grouped by date. Fans of hotkeys can get to this section using the “Command+Y”shortcut. Clicking the combination again returns the user to the web page they were previously viewing.
In the mobile version of the browser used on the iPhone, viewing the browsing history of web pages is also simple.
Open Safari on your smartphone and tap on the icon with the image of an open book at the bottom of the screen.
By default, the list of bookmarks opens. There are three icons at the top. The rightmost one, indicated by an arrow in the screenshot, opens a tab with the history of site visits.
As our experts have shown, access to the list of viewed pages in Safari is implemented as simply and easily as possible.
